I’m fucking trying to grow everything this year lmfao….I still have to start beans, peas, fennel, spinach, lettuce, beets, pumpkin, watermelon, cantaloupe, ramps, lotsof flowers, still need to order stuff too…Can I just plant ginger and turmeric I got from the store??? #askagardener

Direct sewing is your friend as things warm up. Most of what you listed with exception of the fennel which needsa longer seedling stage. Skip the repotting and transplanting whenever possible to save time and effort.Yes to ginger and turmeric—but don’t expect it to over-winter. Pre-sprout, then plant in shallow trenches andhill periodically as shoots emerge.
