Reading “Mastering Bitcoin” made me curious:How many people here run their own node?https://image.nostr.build/8770e62a7e356d0d2c28a74b987d82ec48d9f09e83742a9867e7d8edf1bf4b27.jpg
i did for quite some time and will do in the future. I cant currently because the minipc I was using, died on me:(Core plus Albyhub for Lighting both self hosted.
That’s great! Sorry about your pc 😭
You and me both :(Lost my nice Jellyfin setup as part of it as well :(Hopefully I'll be able to salvage some of it.Until then I am simply renting AlbyHub Cloud, but I had to add a new Lightning wallet, set up new Lightningchannel...If you need to set it up, just start with something simple like Umbrel - you'll have a selection of preparedDockerised Umbrel 'apps' at your disposal for an easy install. They have a whole Bitcoin category in whichthere's like 15 apps ready to be installed with pretty much a click of a button. That's actually how I had itset on my last computer (the one that then died). All you need is like 1.6TB of space and the same amount someplace else as a backup. I didn't have the backupfunctionality enabled because I didn't have enough free space on my backup computer - and now I'll have work toget it all back. Otherwise.. it would be a click of a button.
Thanks for the advice!
