Been reading news about privacy coins becoming a hotter topic on Google TrendsTo me, it was obvious since last year when I attended the Nashville Bitcoin conferenceThe revolution is dead, so there will be a massive exodus towards anything that offers financial privacy.It’s not a matter of “if” at this point. It’s a matter of “when”. The fact that so many Bitcoin OGs areinterested in Monero/Zcash/Zano/Beam these days is proof that there is still hope.The only other question is: when will the “plebs” wake up and join the battle? Then will the normies put theirmoney in something that better protects their freedom of transaction?Regardless of when, I’m ready.
Would you say there's no hope for privacy on Bitcoin anymore, and, if so, is it mainly because of KYC? I'm justthinking that the tradeoff seems inevitable: the more any given currency appreciates in value, the moreregulators and the "old world" institutions are interested in controlling it.Could things have gone differently in your opinion?
