It's launch day!!! Damus is now available on all platforms with Android ready to download! Thanks to everyonewho has contributed, tested, and waited patiently for this release. We can't wait to hear what you think!https://damus.io/android/https://damus.io/damus-android/android_video/master.m3u8
Wen Amber login?https://npub1gm7tuvr9atc6u7q3gevjfeyfyvmrlul4y67k7u7hcxztz67ceexs078rf6.blossom.band/b11dc29d96d690e9ed91f0628ef0271f5bd18d613db94c53145131473b49b1aa.jpg
probably not for awhile, amber doesn’t support features that we will be using, like deterministic coinos walletsand private zaps
Is the problem with nip46 or with Amber? I'd rather not have those feature than no Damus at all.
Damus iOS has never had a signer and people seem ok with it 🤷♂️The way notedeck is being built is that the chrome (microapp host) is the signer, and the apps will needpermission from the user eventuallyBasically just like how web browser signers work today
One of the design goals of damus android is that you won’t need external apps to have a secure and reliableexperience (no pokey, citrine, amber, etc)
I don't feel comfortable putting my private keys into more than one app. You target new users so they mightinitially use their keys only with damus but then they will discover more nostr apps and have the same problem.
you are an advanced user. Most users will not even know about amber when they use nostr for the first time.Advanced users will likely just stick with amethyst anyways
I dig your on-boarding, it's cool. But I've never used my 'main' and always create a temp 'alt' coz no Amber(nsec seperation). Anyway, tried your latest, it seems fine 🤷♂️, and have uninstalled it again. Not being 'anti'.It's a cool app and you're clearly a clever guy, but Damus Android is still way to iOS for my tastes. (Such anodd thing to say lol but it's true)
