| e Fairphone fails to provide standard updates to the Linux kernel from day one which makes their devices
| insecure, prematurely obsolete and unsustainable. Only providing a tiny portion of the updates to a massive
| portion of the OS is not a serious approach to updates and is incompatible with truly providing long term
| support and sustainability.
|
| Fairphone 3, 4 and 5 have an end-of-life kernel branch. Fairphone 6 will too. They don't have any plans to
| address this.

e GrapheneOS requires devices to provide many years of proper updates. Fairphone commits to providing many years
of updates but doesn't follow through on truly doing it. They ship a subset of the AOSP security patches
multiple months late and OS updates at least a year late. They skip shipping nearly all the Linux kernel patches
and don't update the kernel branch so it ends up end-of-life. They skip many driver, HAL and firmware patches.
That's not proper support.

e Fairphones consistently ship with outdated hardware from the beginning, don't receive proper updates from the
beginning and end up being prematurely obsolete.

Fairphone presents shipping a final OS update 3 years after it was released as providing 3 additional years of
OS updates compared to an OEM shipping it as a final update on the day it launched.

Fairphones don't even receive 1 year of updates anywhere close to what the devices we support have for 7 years.
