Otherwise outsized capital investments would have ruined Bitcoin's ownership share leaving existing capital structure control of the network. people take the halving for granted, but it was an arbitrary design choice. that's what created the preminedynamics in bitcoin. open to all, but an outsized advantage to the early miners
